Our environmental lawyers counsel clients in the full range of environmental matters, including site remediation, air, water, natural resources, hazardous waste, toxic torts and permitting. Our attorneys work closely with the law firm’s corporate, real estate, land use, construction, finance and other practice areas to ensure that environmental issues that arise in mergers and acquisitions, real estate, construction projects, bankruptcy, financing and other key transactions are addressed. We have handled substantial matters across the entire Northeastern region, including Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. 

Our experience also includes representing clients in environmental and toxic tort litigation, penalty and enforcement matters, natural resource damage claims and permitting and compliance controversies concerning both state and federal statutes and regulations, including CERCLA, RCRA, ISRA, the Underground Storage Tank Act, the Spill Compensation and Control Act, the Federal and State Wetlands Acts, TSCA, and the Air Pollution Control Act; and our environmental lawyers aid numerous lending institutions in assessing environmental risks associated with financing arrangements and in developing risk assessment policies.

We have also handled many matters in connection with the licensed site remediation professional programs in Massachusetts and New Jersey and our environmental attorneys have spoken extensively on the New Jersey Site Remediation Reform Act, which has already and continues to change dramatically the site remediation process in New Jersey.
