James T. DiMarco
JAMES T. DIMARCO focuses his practice on complex litigation matters, particularly those involving commercial disputes, fraud, insurance coverage and personal injury. Mr. DiMarco represents companies and individuals, both as plaintiffs and defendants, in state and federal courts. He has handled numerous hearings and arbitrations and has obtained favorable judgments for clients at both the state and federal level.
Mr. DiMarco regularly represents insurance companies in subrogation and recovery matters and corporate and individual clients in collection matters. In addition, Mr. DiMarco has obtained favorable results in dozens of landlord-tenant matters for corporate and individual clients, in both landlord and tenant capacities.
Mr. DiMarco is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey, as well as the United States District Courts of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey. In addition to regularly practicing in those courts, Mr. DiMarco has been admitted pro hac vice or has worked closely with local counsel in matters venued in Delaware, New York and California, among other states.
Mr. DiMarco is a member of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and American Bar Associations and is actively involved with the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association where he has participated in the City of Philadelphia’s Expungement Clinic and served as a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House. In addition, Mr. DiMarco is a certified arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas’ Compulsory Arbitration Program and regularly serves as a judge for the American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition and Villanova University School of Law Moot Court Competition.
Mr. DiMarco graduated magna cum laude from The Pennsylvania State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising and Public Relations and a minor in Business and received his Juris Doctorate in 2010 from Villanova University School of Law, where he served as both a staff writer and Special Projects Editor for the Villanova Environmental Law Journal. He was the 2009-10 recipient of the David G. Butterworth Award for outstanding dedication and service to the Journal.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. DiMarco served as a legal specialist in the Office of Counsel to New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
A lifetime Pennsylvania resident, Mr. DiMarco grew up in Delaware County and now resides in Philadelphia with his wife and son.
