Daniel A. Malet

DANIEL A. MALET concentrates his practice in civil litigation, with an emphasis on professional liability defense. He also possesses significant experience in the area of personal injury defense, including automobile negligence, product liability, and premises liability matters. Mr. Malet practices extensively in the state and federal courts of New Jersey. He has also been involved at the appellate level having argued cases before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the Superior Court of New Jersey - Appellate Division, including the noteworthy decision in Lane Construction v. Munday, et als. (A-0494-19T3).
Prior to joining McElroy Deutsch, Mr. Malet served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Frank Covello, J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey – Essex Vicinage, Civil Part. He also served as a Court appointed mediator in the Special Civil Part.
Mr. Malet received his Juris Doctor in 2015 from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was a member of the Juvenile Justice Clinic representing youths in detention hearings and pool cases. While attending law school, Mr. Malet served as an intern with Legal Services of New Jersey, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, to the Honorable Shioban A. Teare, J.S.C., and to the Honorable Verna G. Leath, J.S.C. Mr. Malet obtained his bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland in 2012.
